stitch-like pain on one side of the bump. It comes and goes. Am 34weeks pregnant Saturday.
Didn't ever have this with DS1, is it normal?!

could be ligament pain? i used to get this if I sat up a bit too fast from lying down

blondiep14 · 26/11/2009 19:57

not sure, sitting up or standing doesn't seem to make many difference when it's here, and no way am I moving too fast!!

what side is it on? if it is the left side i would call the MW just to check try not to worry tho as the last poster said it could be a stitch

i had this with DD and my MW said it could be caused by kidney infections (you would have other symptoms by this point though, this was usually my cause as i had persistant uti/kidney infections) and a few other minor-ish things. i hope you feel better soon

blondiep14 · 26/11/2009 20:11

it's on the right, towards middle.
why would it be MW call-able if on the right? (in case it moves!!)
doesn't feel like a contraction but DP has panic in his eyes!!

blondie my MW mentioned left sided pain being a concern a few times. i think it is linked to a few different preg-related illnesses like pre-eclampsia. but if it is right sided and middle of your belly i would say its a stitch. maybe the baby has kicked a nerve or something like that. is this your first baby??

what does the pain feel like?? is it all over or just in one place?

sorry about the 20questions

blondiep14 · 27/11/2009 08:29

hi Panda, it's not been back so hopefully was a stitch!
It's my 2nd but never had anything like it with DS. It was in one place and a very sharp stabbing pain.
Lets hope baby was just on a nerve and has now moved!

my BH are very painful and like this quite a intense pain

blondiep14 · 27/11/2009 09:05

are they only on one side Missy? I think that's perhaps what the pain was but am a bit in the dark having not had them before!
Definitely frlt like a severe stich rather than a contraction but probably because it was one side only. Hmmm, hope I don't get too many more, dreading labour again already!

yeah i get them to one side really sore and stops me in my tracks. this is my 3rd dc and with each they have got more intense

my tummy will go hard with them too now. i am 36wks 4 days

blondiep14 · 27/11/2009 09:17

Ah, sounds like them then, tho bump didn't go very hard, hence me not assuming they were BH's.
The joys!
