Surely there's something good about newborns

I am 28 weeks pregnant with our first baby, and ever since we told people all we have heard is that come february our lives will be over. We'll no longer be able to sleep, at all! We'll have no money (and never will again). We'll never ever ever be able to go out again. The list goes on and on and on.

I know that there is another similar thread on here with a rather provocative title, but surely there's something nice about newborns, and what they grow into, or the human race would have come to an end centuries ago.

So please please tell me something good.

Its true your life is never the same again, as this little perfect bundle (that is all yours) makes you totally forget about what life was like before they arrived....in a good way you sort of have a new sense of yep this is what life is all about.

you start putting this little ones life 1st over everything else, every little noise he/she makes your heart jump and when you see them grow and change each week/month into this smiley, giggly, curious little character where everything is brand new..and its just a priviledge to watch them discover their new world for the 1st time.

i truely enjoyed watching my ds grow and the look of excitment on his face when he figured out new things like rolling around the floor and ending up a a different part of the living room
