I'm 30 wks today and am have still not had even a single day of feeling any hungrier than usual. In fact, I'm far less hungry than before I was pregnant and it's been like this all the way through. The first trimester I put it down to MS and nausea and didn't worry about it. But my appetite has never really returned. When I do eat, I try to make sure it's something healthy so I know I'm getting some good things each day (luckily I seem to have less desire for sweet stuff than before) but I keep reading in my pregnancy books about all the calories my baby needs and how I should be eating an extra 300 by this stage and I just don't think I am.
There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day to get through all the foods that you're supposed to eat in pregnancy! And I find it hard to eat at all in the mornings as still feel a bit dodgy when I first wake up. I've just read that over the next few weeks my baby's brain is having a growth spurt - and I really do want him to have a good brain!
I'm just surprised as everyone assumes pregnant women are ravenous all the time, don't they???
