I am so excited about having a baby that I am constantly fidgeting, obsessively writing lists of "stuff" that they will need, wondering what they will look like... argh! Why do babies take so long to grow? I'm only 25 weeks so there's a way to go yet.

Anyone else feel like this or am I just abnormal for not being scared stiff about labour/sleepless nights etc.?

That is so sweet! It really made me smile. This is my fourth and - whilst I'm really looking forward to meeting the new person at the other end - I am rather "whatever" about the whole process. I'm so jaded!

And you are so right not to be scared of labour. It's a walk in the park!

You're not alone! I'm 25 weeks too, and March seems so far away.

I am a bit scared of labour though... but mostly just can't wait to meet my baby

Am 23 weeks today... and weirdly not scared of labour whatever course it takes (putting all my hopes on a hypnobirthing course!)... as much as just scared that something bad will happen to it before I give birth... but think thats because I have heard a few horror stories recently. I am also thinking I might be a bit of nightmare at the checking babies movements stage! Basically, I just want it out (but not early either IFYSWIM) and safely in my arms... not sure why I think it will be safer out than in but there you go!

flybynight Thanks for keeping me innocent about labour; I hate horror stories, absolutely think that the baby will be born during a long and tedious meeting at work and that it will choose to poo all over my husband (who miraculously appears at said meeting) rather than me.

I really wasn't a 'baby person' before I got pregnant but now I love seeing babies while I'm out and about and want to cuddle every single one (I haven't yet, nor have I accosted the parents and irritated them by cooing). I'm just hoping it lasts...
