how long to take progesterone/cyclogest?

i was given 28 days worth by the epu, im coming to the end of them now, im 11+4, do i need to keep taking them or is that all thats needed? i feel they have helped and i want to carry on with them. thanks in advance for any info.

I was told at 12 weeks the placnta takes over and took them until 14 weeks.

I took them until nuchal scan.

my friend was given same amount as you but found she started bleeding so took them until 14 weeks. make sure you arent fobbed off but get what you think YOU need.

I was taking 400mg twice a day until 12 weeks, then once a day for a further week, and now I'm taking once every other day.

I think, if you can, try to wean yourself off gradually as I am. I'm not sure if it's making any difference at this stage (saw a very active little baby at 12+6 weeks on the scan ), but I find it reassuring to be weaning myself off gradually.

To get extra, I just went to my GP and told him what I needed. Didn't have any issues doing this either.

12 weeks for me too. I stopped without weaning which was quite scary at the time but had no extra bleeding and my little boy is now a lively 25 month old!

I had them till 9 weeks after I had a lot of bleeding (SCH). Was told that the placenta took over around 9 weeks.

I'm also on them now till 34 weeks but that's for something else.

All in all, it will be about 25 weeks on, 13 weeks off in this pregnancy.
