High Heart Rate at Scan

Hi ladies

Had a private dating scan today after a terrible experience last week at my local hospital. Baby is 8wk 3days but heart rate is 196 ... Doc says not to worry but when pressed said could be indicative of possible miscarriage. Growth and size is good though ... he suggests a return in two weeks to check heart rate again.

Any words of wisdom or similiar stories appreciated.

well just had a quick google and this was one of the first things I got

"A faster than normal heart rate does not appear to carry increased risk of miscarriage or other negative pregnancy outcomes"

can you speak to your local EPU?
