hi,
I am 30 weeks pregnant and in france. The new vaccine available for pg women is called panenza and is said to be the safest as it does not have any adjuvant. Vaccinations will start from tomorrow and i looked at the internet and it does not seem to have been used anywhere else. on top of it, it was only tested on 300 or so children in finland and 450 adults in france. There has not been any study in pregnant women and the population tested is so small, so how can i trust it?? however, i am really keen on getting vaccinated now as more and more people are getting infected and && people died in one week in france... i am quite worried... does anybody have any advice????

I think if it is similar to celvapan (without thermisol and adjuvant) - effectively the normal flu jab but just with the swine flu virus in place of the normal flu strains - then it would have effectively been tested on pregnant women as millions of pregnant American women have had the normal flu jab over years with apparently no ill effects.

great thank you lucy, did you do any research or hear about it??
i must say it is reassuring if it has neither adjuvant nor thermisol.

Hi there - I only read a couple of links, probably the same ones as you. Here is a short one:

theflucase.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1066%3Asanofis-panenza-the-secret-and-sa fe-vaccine-for-the-qeliteq&catid=1%3Alatest-news&Itemid=64&lang=en

which seems to suggest that it was similar to Celvapan. (which I have had and glad I did!).
