going for a check up ultrasound wil they tel me sex

im 15 weeks n 3days am recovering from a kidney and water infection been having pains in belly but not where the pains from my infection was and theyre different. midwife is making me a u/s app to make sure buba is ok. i hope everythin is ok but am curious if they can tell will they tel me gender.

I think at 16wks they can but whether they will is another matter - some hospitals have a policy of not disclosing the gender (I think due to certain ethnic groups having a preference for boys...correct me if wrong?). If so you would have to get a private scan to find out.
