Downs Blood Test Fiasco. Can anyone shed any light?!

I wanted to ask how long any of you have waited for the results of your Triple Downs Test? I had my bloods taken at 16+6 and was told they would be back in 2 weeks. Well 3 weeks on, still not back..

It may seem like I am worrying unnecessarily (this is my fist pg so naturally!) but almost every single blood test I have had taken so far has been lost by the lab and had to be retaken (I kid you not).

Reassurance anyone?!

IME if results are clear they do not contact you, just let you know when you attend for your 20 week anomoly scan.

My downs test results came back maybe a week later? Other bloods I have had during this pg have not been posted back to me though and the MW has had to phone up to confirm them. I would phone your MW to follow up if I was you. If there was a problem I thought I was told they would phone you, so I am sure its fine.

Thanks all! The surgery are trying to find out if the lab actually recieved the bloods in the first place as midwife has gone walkabout and isn't getting back to me. But I think londonlottie is right about there being a dead line for this as it is.

Me and the bean will just have to wait and see and just hope all will be ok. Thanks again!
