If I'm this big at 23 weeks how big will I get?

In the past few weeks my bump has grown so fast. My skin feels really tight and my belly button has already popped. Is there any way of gauging how big you'll get at the end of pregnancy from how big you are at five months? I just can't imagine getting much bigger and certainly not continuing to grow at this rate!

Hi there - am in exactly the same boat - am 22 weeks.. and feel very big (belly button not out yet though)... am hoping that I did all my growing at the beginning and now it will slow down (having put on 8 pounds in the last three weeks though that might be wishful thinking!)

I'm 24 weeks and, as one ex friend colleague said today, 'mahoosive'. I'm just enjoying whole roomfuls/carriages/buses of people jumping up as I walk in

Skin is an amazing thing but it's going to have such a tough time keeping up.
The books say baby is half it's final length and an eighth of it's birth weight around 23 weeks. That's a bit scary! How will my stomach fit much more?
Lucy, maybe we're having a growth spurt now and things will calm down for a while.

I completely sympathise! I am 26 weeks and every time I lok in the mirror I think, SURELY I can't get any bigger!! My belly button popped a couple of weeks ago, which is also when I developed the Pregnant Lady Waddle... I have gained a lot of weight around my legs and face too, so am really hoping that it will slow down from here on in. Have also been introduced to the joys of heartburn in past few days... Still waiting for the "glow" though!

Am with you, I'm 26 weeks and giganto. But your skin will stretch - honestly.

My first son was 10lbs 8 and I'm a lot bigger this time at 23 weeks. I read you are bigger at the beginning with second pregnancies but it evens out around 26 weeks, can't see it though. I put on over 4 stone last time! My only advise is to try and limit the sweets etc keep active and look after your skin. I didnt get any stretch marks last time, dont know if thats luck or biooil but a bit of tlc cant do any harm. Have any of you big bumped ladies had swelling around your pubic area?

this is my 2nd pregnancy and I was same as you, felt huge around 22 weeks and everyone thought I was nearer the end making annoying comments the whole time about my size. Well don't fret as I am now 36 weeks although I am bigger I have slowed down a lot. growth happens at different times for everyone so don't worry or let it spoil your pregnancy. just carry on eating as healthily as possible
