is it me, or is peptac bloody awful?

Am pg with dc3. went to gp to ask for prescription for gaviscon, terrible heartburn same as with dc1 and dc2. Got to chemist and given this peptac stuff. It is horrible, in aniseed and peppermint it tastes awful and just doesn't hit the spot like gaviscon. What is going on?

I have been given peptac as well by the Dr's despite writing gaviscon advance on repeat. I think it is crap and I wake up in the night every hour or two having to drink more, tastes revolting too. After the last time I picked it up from chemist and noticed they had given me petac again I went straight back in Dr's wrote new repeat prescription and underlined Gaviscon advance and said that peptac did not work for me. I am picking new prescription up tomorrow and if it's peptac again I am going to ask to speak to Dr in person as it is that shite!!! Mind you I am in foul mood right now as still not pushed baby out and damn uncomfortable LOL
