Hi,

I am 15 weeks pregnant and since Friday morning have developed an infection in my gums surrounding a half-through wisdom tooth. Went to see the emergency dentist yesterday who called it pericoronitis and said it is common in pregnancy.
I am in agony!
It is affecting my gum, my face is swollen, it hurts to swallow and my gland is up.
I've been prescribed antibiotics and am taking regular paracetamol every four hours but I'm worried sick about what I am doing to the baby, even though I can't cope with the throbbing pain.
I know each on it's own is supposed to be safe but I'm even having to dose up with paracetamol in the night as it's keeping me awake.
Has anyone else had this? How long does it take the antibiotics to kick in?
Thanks.
