How long to wait for health in pregnancy grant?

I applied two weeks ago (during the postal strike...) and haven't heard anything. Does anyone know roughly how long it will take to come through? Thanks.

In my first preg last year, the money was in my account a month after I posted my application.

I waited about 2 weeks, got mine 2 weeks ago.

Your midwife will(should!) sign and give you the paperwork at your 25wk checkup. I sent mine off on the monday and the money appeared on the tuesday 2 weeks later. That was in september.

I haven't heard anything for over 2 weeks now...Do they give a time period for how long it takes to be paid?

I sent my form off last Monday so just waiting for mine now.

You ask your midwife for the form - She fills in her part, you fill in yours and send it off within 30 days.

I called them today and they are saying the claims are being processed in date order and within 3-4 weeks. Will call them again if I haven't heard anything after 3 weeks, just to make sure they've got it. The number to call with any questions about the HIPG is 0845 366 7885.

Keep checking your account. The letter telling me I was entitled etc.etc. actually arrived after the grant did (at the height of the postal strike admittedly)....

What I would do first is check you have actually posted it-I waited for a 3 weeks for mine only to find the damn envelope with the recycling. Worst still I had a memory of posting it!! Damn hormones affecting my memory!

After I definately posted it I received a letter within 3 weeks saying it would be in my account within 7 days, I'm on the 5th day now.

i waited 3 months and after about 4 phone calls of complaint recied it 2 weeks after ds2 was born in august

Got my form when I was 28 weeks, it took less than 2 weeks, am nearly 35 weeks now. I was very very impressed!!!

I rang them today as I have been waiting for 4 weeks. They said they have a lot of applications and are now telling people it will take up to 8 weeks! They also said they have no way of telling me whether they even received the application and to just phone back in a month if I haven't been paid.

They just keep saying ring back up to me, my baby wil be here before they sort anything. Keep us updated x

I sent mine 5wks ago and just been on the phone they have finally processed it and issued a payment

I spoke to them the other day as have been waiting 4 weeks now, they said they aim to send out a letter within 3-4 weeks and the money will be in your account a week later, however, they are suffering a back log at the moment and I am to get back to them if I have not heard anything within 2 months !!!

I sent mine away about 3 weeks ago and still don't have. Not planning to chase up until new year though
