I've just been booked in for mine in 10 days' time and am curious to know if you had any side effects afterwards?

Meant to say that I'm looking for replies from women who have had it themselves.

Had it last Saturday. Had a sore arm for a few days but nothing else.

Thandeka · 13/11/2009 20:18

had it wednesday sore arm thats about it.

sunnybump · 13/11/2009 20:50

I had it Wednesday and had a sore arm but no swelling, mark or anything else. I wish I hadn't it in my left arm though as I've had to sleep on my right the last couple of nights to stay off the sore arm which plays havoc with my indigestion. Just worth thinking about!

I feel much better having the decision done and dusted

Had it on Tuesday and had a sore arm and have a big purple/red bruise on it, it was a bit swollen the day after too. I also had a splitting headache afterwards for 24 hours. But I am glad I have had it and can stop thinking about it now (I'm 19 weeks pg).

very sore arm for two days and a bad headache, general groggy feeling as if I was about to come down with a virus but 48 hours after the injection I felt totally normal.

Hi, I'm 25 weeks pregnant and had both my swine flu jab and seasonal flu jab on Thursday night. Apart from the really sore red arm on the side I had the sf jab, I was climbing the walls last night til 5am with anxiety, heart beating at what felt like 5,000 beats a minute and difficulty breathing. Not sure if this is just anxiety due to having to make the decision of having the jab or a reaction to it but thought I should let you know... Feel much better today and NHS direct were BRILLIANT! They said it was normal to have a reaction and that the difficulty breathing could be due to baby putting pressure on my lungs, so they talked me through it and made me feel a whole lot better. Baby did somersaults all night which apparently is a good sign!

I've had both the swine flu jab & theseasonal jab a week last thursday with absolutely no side affects whatsoever. Just a sore arm as many others have written on here. As I'm in my 3rd trimestre I'm just so relieved I've had it done... think it best for me & my baby. I do suffer with asthnma & have had pneumonia in the past so the main reason why I felt it necess to have it done... otherwise I may not have bothered.

Sore arm, no other side effects.

Bettymum · 16/11/2009 11:50

Sore arm for a couple of days - couldn't lift my left arm to do up my bra strap the morning after the jab, DH had to do it for me . Fine now though.

CocoK · 16/11/2009 13:40

Doesn't sound too bad - thanks. And are you happy you had it? [opens can of worms..?]

Had first Celvapan shot on Friday last week. No after effects whatsover, not even a sore arm, though definitely felt the needle go in!

Only a slightly sore arm. Not as sore as after the travel jabs I had before I went to India.
