I had a conversation with a particularly rude comm midwife this week, after ringing about my concerns about being overdue, possible induction and also size of baby.

I then left it thinking Id be seeing my midwife today, and was scheduled to have my 2nd sweep.
Shes just cancelled, personal reasons, something to do with family, and I now cant see her til late on tuesday (depending on whether problems are resolved I presume).

I have lots of concerns, want my sweep, want to make plans for induction next week if necessary and was wondering if I can ring and request to see a midwife in hospital clinic or MLU/MAU, I dont mind waiting, I would just like some reasurrance and to start the ball rolling as it were.

So before I speak to another stroppy MW, can I request an appointment this afternoon, Im irrationally upset and uptight about this

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You can ask - hopefully they would say yes, but they may not be able to, depending on the hospital. Worth a try, good luck.

I think you should call the midwife team/maternity/gp surgery and ask to speak to a Supervisor of Midwives. She has extra training and deals with patient concerns. I spoke to a SoM about my complaints and she was brilliant.

I have spoken to the community midwifery team, they are too busy in the MLU to see me which is fair enough.
I have offered to sit down there and wait for as long as it takes, go to other hospital (same trust just a bit further from home), they are ringing me back
