Well, it intensifies the contractions and is meant to speed things along. It certainly did for me, but I would have preferred a gentler ride. Didn't take it with my 2nd!

Don't know if it's any good but I think it's quite nice and keeps my caffeine intake down. Just make up like normal herbal tea. Got to be worth a try!

PS how pg are you? You're not supposed to start it too early, just in case.

i started drinking it at 34 weeks

it tones the uterus apparently

my second labour was very quick but am not sure how much of that was to do with the tea

you aren't meant to drink/take it before 34/36 weeks though

32 weeks tomorrow. When do I start with it? I haven't had any yet. The packet didn't really have any info on.

I started at 32 weeks with a cup a day then every fortnight went up a cup. Its my EDD tomorrow and Im now on 4 cups a day, sometimes I notice more braxton hicks when I drink it, other times nothing. The last couple of weeks Ive had really bad heartburn whenever I have a warm drink so have been making up a big jug in the morning, putting a dash of cordial in and leaving in the fridge to have throughout the day.

Hiya,

I was recommened the raspberry leaf tea by a friend.
I started drinking it from 36weeks and i found it helped me, its used to make the contractions more intense and gets your uterus to contract more.
I found them great i had my first child 5 months ago and my labour from start to finish was 6hours 27min which wasnt bad, mind you once the contractions started they were full blown.
Whether it was down to the leaf tea i dont know but id recommend it!! :-)
Good luck with your preg by the way.
