Stretching in pregnancy, is it safe!?!?!?!

Sorry if this is a stupid question but a comment from someone has got me a little bit worried.

I was talking to people at work about how we are decorating before the baby comes along and one of the women said something like "oh you want to be careful not to be doing to much stretching up high as it can cause the cord to get wrapped round the babies neck/head".

Now I have been doing loads of stretching, hanging wallpaper and painting. Apart from the fact that I don't really see how me putting my arms above my head is going to affect where the cord ends up in the confined space of the uterus??? it has still got me abit worried?

Has anyone else come across anything like this/ been warned about stretching too much etc etc or is it probably just one of those thoughtless, inaccurate comments that people spout without thinking because it's what they were told 20 years ago??

Apparently my grandmother used to say this to my mother... but she is about 85 now. No idea if / why it's supposed to be bad though.

Rest assured that is a load of rubbish. An old wives' tale.
