At what stage are you heavily pregnant?

My sister snorted in disgust when I said (albeit rather dramatically) that I was heavily pregnant (at 33 weeks) the other day... so at what stage do you become heavily pregnant, cos I don't exactly feel like Tinkerbell right now!

I think I would class 8 months plus as heavily pregnant so you're nearly there

I felt heavilt pregnant at 33 weeks but boy oh boy at 40 weeks i felt MASSIVE

I think it's at the point when the desire to get this baby OUT outweighs your fear/memory of the pain of childbirth.

When you start thinking that shitting out a watermelon has got to be better than X weeks more of this.

Oh I just remembered I became heavily pregnant when I answered the question "When are you due?" with hours and minutes instead of weeks and days

How about when you don't need to sit at the dinner table any longer as your bump forms a convenient eating platform?

Hmm so I think I can't really say I'm heavily pregnant yet? Damn and I wanted to use that as an excuse for getting out of doing any more housework or decorating!

When you start to feel it - there's no magic number for this one imo!

I thought that painting & decorating, clearing out kitchens nesting thing was a complete myth. Did the new dcs bedroom at about 20 weeks and thought 'done and dusted'. But found myself at 38 weeks, bored after two days of mat leave, painting the garage, front door and fencing. DH reckons it's the fumes.

Think it depends on how big your bump is personnaly. I had to go into maternity clothes at 10 weeks so by the time I got to about 28 I had a huge bump...people going 'not long now then' and felt heavily pregnant not helped by the act I'm only 5'. Now at 39 weeks I have gone way past the heavily pregnant stage and am beginning to wonder if there really is only one baby in there or 5?!?!?!?!?!?!!?
Mind you it does get me out of doing a lot....all the good things like picking up dog poo, most of the cooking, washing up, ironing....LOL Now spend hours in birthing pool bobbing about as its the only place i'm comfortable

We've only just moved house hence all the decorating. I'm not really nesting, don't believe in all that rubbish, nothing could be further from my mind right now, but needs must. The MIL is coming over soon after Christmas to see the new baby and the spare room is something from a horror film!

I am 32+3 and would definitely consider myself to be heavily pg. I feel really cumbersome and suspect I have developed SPD. I am very achy and my waddle would win awards.

when your bump gets so big that the stretchy panel in your maternity skirt no longer stretches enough - in this case at 31 weeks!!

When people keep looking at your bump and saying "oh, can't be long now then!"

Interesting, other people were calling me heavily pregnant when I was 32 weeks and quite neat and I didn't think that I should be classed as such.

Now I'm 37 weeks and look like a Zeppelin they're just not risking calling me anything !
