12 days late, any advice?

Hi everyone, I'm currently 12 days late, I am usually every 28/29 days. the first day of my last period was the 30th September 2009, I usually get a tummy ache the night before im due. not this month!

I've had some of the pg symptoms: discharge daily, tiredness, urinating more, headaches, heartburn, faster heartbeat, bloating, tightness in lower tummy, and the biggest change is my breasts - they feel tender, fuller & nipples are darker with the white spots...

I've done numerous HPT - all negative. i went for a USS as i have been having pains in my lower tummy on & off (before the missed period)and just thought i'd get it checked. their was no sign of any problems or pregnancy (at 6 days late). i spoke to my doctor, she said it would be too soon to see anything and to go to see her next wednesday do a urine test and possibly a blood test.

so frustrating! any advice?

Forgot to mention, Ive spoken to some friends, and:

1 of them who is pg now and a BFP straight away.

another friend had BFN until she was 4 months gone with both of hers.

another friend had normal cycles for the first three months of pg.

so i'm just needing answers!

all these negatives, and all these symptoms. strange mix.

I've not even been stressed or anything, so i cant think of another reason??

do you if / when you ovulated? sometimes you can ovulate slightly later in a cycle than normal.

are your cycles ALWAYS 28/29 days? although mine regular 30/21 days very occasionally would have a 6 week cycle...

if no BFP by wednesday get GP to do blood test.

I was on the pill for 1 month in june then came off as i had mega bad migraines then since July i've had every 28/29 days.

I think I may have ovulated late, I don't really know my ovulation. all i know is that my first day of my last period was 30th September...

I have a doc appt on wed, taking a urine sample, if not BFT, then blood test i suppose - Eek!

those symptoms all sound the same as what i had and my pregnancy test showed up positive straight away when i was about 4 days late. have u tried a clear blue? i used a one that wasnt digital, and dipped it in rather than weeing on it, dont know if this could make a difference. good luck at the doctors and hope u get the result u are hoping for

i tried the 'clearblue' digital one oon Monday which was BFN.
I'm just going to wait until wednesday (Drs appt) Thanks

if its been a whole week since the last HPT you tried worth testing again....

don't use a digital one (and go for one of the sensitive ones) use first morning urine and dip rather than weeing on it.

I'm taking a sample to the doctors on wednesday, and that will probably get sent to the lab, then if that shows neg and still no AF then i will get a blood test i think. I tested yesterday - BFN.

I'm like 50/50... there is a big possibility that i am, but why the BFN? maybe late ovulation?

My friend was getting BFN urine tests 4 months into pg. then had one sent to lab = BFP now she has her little girl.

Ergh, really hope i get some answers soon - whatever the outcome is. its not knowing thats annoying me!

Hi there, just noticed that i have slight bleeding... going to see how long it lasts and how much etc. atm its not a lot.... does this mean im definitely not preg?

im still going to the doctors tomorrow though...

My friend had regular periods for the first three months of her pregnancy.

if im not then thats fine. i'd jus like to know what caused the 2 week delay & symptoms. odd..

will update tmra after doc whichever the outcome...

I am 12 days late too, and my period has always been on time (-1/+1day) this year. I have sore boobs and they are definitely growing. Had a little headache yesterday and some morning sickness around lunch. No other symptoms.

I did test on Sunday (first in the morning) and it was neg. I repeated it today and it was again neg. No sign of period so I am assuming the HcG level is not yet high enough to show. The test was a Boots one and I peed on not dipped.

I will try a different one over the weekend.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

AF arrived yesterday night (Typical eh?) Still went to the doctors to see why i was 2 weeks late, and she said she wasn;t sure. it could have stress from a few months back. or a possible early MC. but doubtful.

I was a tad bit emotional earlier as i really thoguht i was. but hey. everything happens for a reason and the doctor said its going to happen, it will just do so in its own time. We're not going out of our way to try but im not on anything.

She said as im not on the pill i should take folic acid just to be safe for any future babies!
