Has anyone who's pregnant had the swine flu jab??

Has anyone so far had the vaccine? If so how are you feeling? Any side effects?

I'm 19 weeks and I'm still trying to make the final decision to have it i keep going from I definitely will to maybe i shouldn't! So anyone who's had it please let me know how your feeling...

Hi there - take a look at the other swine flu threads down below - more and more people are posting of their experiences - there is one specifically talking about side effects etc. I had mine on Tues - Celvepan though - most people here will have had Pandremix - no other side effects apart from a slightly sore arm on that evening. Baby (20 weeks) still kicking away!

Thanks Lucy101. Did you have a choicce between Celvepan & Pandremix? If so why did you choose Celvepan over pandremix?

I've had it. I assume I had Pandremix but didn't ask. I'm 28 weeks pregnant, and based my decision mainly on the fact that the risks of swine flu increase in later pregnancy.

No side effects other than a very sore arm. Baby still very active (I wasn't expecting her not to be though- there's absolutely nothing to suggest that the vaccine would have this effect)

Hi Rtuff - I am in Dublin at the moment and that is what the Irish are giving high risk people... I wanted Celvepan anyway so lucky to get it, for all the reasons on the longer threads, no adjuvants etc.... but think now, from more and more reading, and so many people have posted excellent resources and articles, that Pandremix is unlikely to cause more problems then a bad case of the flu... but... it is such a personal decision. I posted more about this on the long thread - I had some other health issues that I decided made having the vaccine important.

Hi, i'm having the same problem, i have to decide by next week for me and my dd(she is asthmatic). ive been told we are just guineua pigs and there is lots of horrible stuff in it, im so confused as to whether to have it!

i had the pandremix last week ,and like others ,apart from a sore arm ive had no other symptoms ,some people sometimes get mild flu like symptoms i believe .It is a very personal decision though ,i was 33 weeks when i had mine and work in front line healthcare and have actually looked after people with possible swine flu prior to the jab, none of whom it turns out actually had it .Whilst i understand the concerns of those who are choosing not to have it , i came to the decision that for me in my situation it was probably the most sensible option . As far as the lots of horrible stuff ,the vacine itself is only a couple of mls ,so the horrid stuff ,ie formaldehyde ,is probably only in the vaccine in minute amounts, still scary i know ,but have a look through your cleaning products and quite a few of them contain formaldehyde ,which you breath in everytime you use them .

had the pandremix yesteday, very sore arm and a nice big bump at the injection site but other than that feel fine.

It's good to hear some reassuring messages, thanks ladies. I'm 20 weeks and have been tying myself in knots over whether to do it - booked for next week and having sleepless nights! Will check out the rest of the threads.

Had Pandremix 2 days ago. Feel fine so far, but injection site is really sore still.

Hi Rtuff, I had a sore arm for a couple of days afterwards but that's it .

I've just had the jab, having had the seasonal flu jab 2 weeks ago. I'm a frontline healthcare worker too and 28w preggers but felt, after a great deal of reading, that the risks to my baby are greater with me catching the flu than having the jab. It will also protect my DS and help me look after my new baby if the virus is still around in the new year. I'm not at all worried and actually feel relieved to have had it now.
