Anyone had a successful pregnancy with quite a bit of bleeding at the start..?

...and some cramps? I am only 14dpo today, and got a BFP today and yesterday, but started bleeding with a fairly regular flow yesterday, and had cramps, which have gone today, although I've continued to bleed.

I know in my heart of hearts that it's probably a goner, but hoping against hope that lots of you have a cheery story to tell me?

I had implantation bleeding, went to EPU and was told it may or may not be viable but have a 2.6yo now so the pregnancy continued on successfully. I wasn't convinced at 5 weeks but turns out I was wrong! I also had the cramping but it left after a day or two and the bleeding was a pinky/brown colour, very small amount. HTH a bit. Fingers crossed for you that this one sticks firmly where it should! Congratulations on BFP!

I had a lot of bleeding between 9dpo and 16dpo with this pg. I was sure AF had arrived and drank buckets of wine to drown my sorrows on day 14 only to test positive a couple of days later...... So yes, it is possible to bleed quite heavily and still have a healthy pg.

i was going to ask the same. i've had some bleeding (brown, pink and bright red) on and off for the past 3 weeks. i went for a scan a week ago today and saw a tiny 6 week bean with a beating heart. this is my 3rd baby, they have no idea why i am bleeding but fingers crossed so far everything is ok. i've just been told to take things easy and to avoid intercourse.

Thanks folks; I was feelng pregnant a couple ofdays ago, and now just feel a bit period-painy (although I can't really remember how I felt with DD). ZiggyF, can I ask whether you had any cramping at all as well?

I've just had a beta done at the clinic (this was IVF), so will know more later today, and will go back on Friday if necessary - I'm officially in TWW / beta hell...

yes- i bled on and off for 5 weeks at beginning of this pregnancy (it's my 2nd and am due in 2 weeks) They couldn't explain it.....wishing you so much luck- i know how you are feeling. It is very hard. They couldn't see anything until 6 weeks on scan. Lots of painful waiting. Good luck to you.

I had quite heavy bleeding with DS2.. who was is now nearly 11.

Yes- I bled lots between 7 weeks and 16 weeks and DD is now a very happy 1 year old.

Soupspoon - yes I had quite a lot of cramping, it only settled down around 10ish weeks. I was convinced it was an early AF when I started bleeding, it looked and felt exactly the same. I'm wondering now whether it was initally twins and one didn't stick? Guess I'll never know.

yes, i got period like cramps in both my pregnancies-= not severe- but you knew they were there. Good luck.
