16 weeks - how should I feel?

I am almost 16 weeks pregnant with my 1st and at that in-between stage, still got another 4 weeks until my next scan and constantly worrying everything is ok. My tummy is larger, but still looking 'fat' rather than obviously pregnant.
Would I be able to hear the heartbeat yet if I got a doppler? or should I just wait for the scan. Been quite stressed too, which I worry is affecting the baby.

Congratulations!

Will be 17 weeks tomorrow with DC4. My scan is on 20th.

Apart form sinusitis, I feel absolutle fine, which always puts me off guard - no sickness, fatigue has lifted, only thing that tells me I am actually preg is am am hungry now about every hour. Total PITA.

Occaisionally get the odd tumble turn in my belly if I lie on it - but no proper easily detectable movements yet. I am only feeling the slight movements if I lie flat on front because my muscles are shot.
Have not felt any last few days.

I don't tend to show until 7 months after DS2 - he tilted my womb back to baby tends to poke straight up towards my ribs rather than up and out IYSWIM? Just look like I have eaten too much atm.

I am not sure if the headphone whatsits you can buy can pick the heart up yet? Don't think they are sensitive enough? They might be - have a Google.

Try not to worry too much.

wait for the scan, i know its boring but would you be more or less anxious if you got a doppler and couldn't find a heartbeat, I think its a bit hit and miss depending on how the baby is lying at this early stage.

Try getting a week by week preganacy guide with pictures and visualizing how DC looks.

Don't wish it away, part of the joy of pregnancy is the mystery about what is going on in you without you knowing much about it. It will get all too obvious soon.

I feel exactly the same- I'm 16 weeks and my next scan isn't til mid December- i keep panicking that there's no evidence that I'm pregnant - fat tummy but am eating like a pig and very bloated- am toying with the idea of trying to get an additional scan

Thanks all, nice to hear how I feel is normal! I was toying with the idea of getting an additional scan too, one of the 3d ones, but am gonna research them more before I decide anything.

Let me know what you decide- it just feels such a gap between first and second scans and I keep thinking of things that could be going wrong...

I'm 15+5 with my first and don't feel pg at all! Just cant fit into many clothes. Can't wait til people can tell I'm pg rather than assume I've eaten all the pies!

hey
I'm 16 weeks and feel the same... spoke to a woman who was about 30 weeks other day who said she just felt fat til about 25 weeks! I'm telling myself it's cos I've always been a bit lardy, and have been alot fatter than I am now so I reckon there's plenty of room in there at the moment!
