Can anyone recommend where to get some maternity jeans and work trousers for me please...the only problem is that I'm 5ft1" and I have failed so far to find any!
The short length at mothercare is much too long and Next have some jeans but am being tight at the mo and don't want to pay postage (branch near me doesn't stock maternity clothes!)

Ahhha! I have this problem, and I got some at funmum.com - they do petite. I am just 5 foot though, so I had to take them up by about an inch.

Although you will have to pay postage....except I'm sure there is an offer on the web somewhere for Next with a code which means you don't have to pay their postage?

Next and Marks and Sparks are the only ones that do them short enough for even miniscule me, without me having to adjust them.

Mothercare petite trousers are for (shortish) giantesses I reckon...

Mamas and Papas do trousers with a short leg. They are having a sale up to 30% off until 1st november. You would have to pay postage though. www.mamasandpapas.com/cat/maternity-clothes/

tbh I bought normal ones and had them altered- that way they fit perfectly (I am 5' 0") The only ones I didn't alter were the next petite ones.

I am 5ft 1 and I have had real problems finding trousers that fit! My BH has had to put up with some serious strops in shops about the lack of clothing. However I did find that Dorothy Perkins did do a variety of petite maternity clothes and I did get 1 pair of jeans from New Look although that may have been a flook as I've not found anymore ther.
Hope this helps.

Hi,

Personally I find Mamas and Papas petite lenghts still far too long (I'm 5ft 2)

My work trousers are from Dorothy Perkins.

I've also recently bought these from Funmum (but in black) which fit fine:
Bengalin trousers

I'm 5'2" and have a Mamas and Papas velvety pair which are fine and just about OK for work (but their work trousers were too long) and 3 Next petite pairs, 2 of which are fine (jeans and borders) and a work pair which are a bit too long with flats. To avoid the postage at Next you can ask a store to get them in for you - takes nearly a week instead of next day and you have to pay in advance, but when you collect you can try them on there and then and get a refund on any you don't want. The lengths at Next do vary a lot so worth ordering a few pairs and just keeping what fits. Another point to consider is that I've been advised that all trousers are uncomfortable towards the end and dresses are better.

Next are the best for short length maternity jeans and trousers (I'm 5'2") and I'd say absolutely worth spending a bit extra on, I wore my Next jeans almost every day last pregnancy and am using them again now. I like my Dorothy Perkins ones too but they fall down much worse than the Next ones.

Dorothy Perkins do petite maternity trousers in some styles

aliceemma · 31/10/2009 08:25

Have lived in Mama & Papa under the bump jeans for the last 5 months - haven't found anything else to fit.

Haribolicious · 31/10/2009 09:51

Thanks everyone....have been struck down with the cold lurgy so stuck in bed at the mo feeling miserable! Will plan a shopping trip for when I'm better tho!

Red Herring short length fit me at 5ft.

funtimewincies · 31/10/2009 18:29

I've also found Next short-length maternity stuff to be good (I'm 5') although you often have to order it online. The shops seem to think that short ladies don't get up the duff like normal ladies !

LadyPops · 31/10/2009 20:01

Next maternity jeans are great (I'm 5.1). Can you choose store delivery? or order in store and have them sent to the store??

They're really worthwhile... I LOVED mine.

With Next you can order either in store (but have to order at the store you want them delivered to IYSWIM) or online to be delivered to the store of your choice. Both of these mean that you don't pay for postage. I also do any returns through the store as well, again to avoid postage.
