Does anyone know - baby died at 6 weeks and I'm 8 weeks now. How long roughly will it take before I actually miscarry - has anyone else had any experience of this? I feel horribly bloated low down my abdomen but no other symptoms.

@prettybird
2 mmc :( so sorry ...will you or have you tried again ? Don't know how long ago this happened for you.

I only took 2 days off work because I also felt "ok" too... eeeks idk now

New doctor well actually NP seemed optimistic for me trying again. I wasn't crying by the time I saw her.
She said if I decide to try and get pregnant again to call them as soon as I am pregnant. This office is not anywhere near as relaxed as the prior one.
Also the ultrasound lady at new dr told me she sees about 2 missed miscarriages daily so this is not as uncommon as the internet makes it seem. Idk somehow that made me feel more "normal"
I was told to stay on prenatal vitamins and schedule for an appt in a week to make sure bleeding stopped.
I did not need D & C.
Cervix is closed had no idea checking that would be so painful.

I do have one copy of mthfr im not sure if you've had that genetic test but that sometimes goes with repeated miscarriages. This is my first miscarriage but if it happens again I'd have to see a specialist.

I might keep updating periodically if/when I try again.

I was 44 when I had the 2nd one 12 years ago, so I had to accept that ds was going to be an "only". I had always vowed to never have an "only" after seeing the impact of her mum's cancer on a friend at Uni Sad - but sometimes nature doesn't respect vows.

Ds is lovely though - nearly 17 now.
