Bad irratation after intercourse

Hi!Im 18 weeks pregnant and get really bad irratation and stinging after intercourse.Can anyone tell me if this is normal

What kind of irritation? Could you have thrush? I find that if I'm starting to get symptoms of thrush intercourse makes it worse. Plus thrush is very common in pg.

Dont think its thrush ive had that before.This is like a really bad stinging sensation

do you have a contact number for your midwife? if so, i would ask her. if you have a bladder infection (or something of that sort) you are best to get it sorted out asap. having said that, i get irritation sometimes (and definitely stinging) but i have always put it down to the difference in acidity of sperm (sorry if tmi) and the slight soreness of friction. if you are worried then always ask!!! good luck...
