39W4D not dilated - help!

im totally depressed and pressured, went to the doctor yesterday and said that i am not dilated at all. i dont feel any signs of labor as well. kept walking but i guess its not helping. please advice. (sex is not an option)

so i went to the doctor, and again she did check me internally and said that im not dilated still. i asked why does she have to check me every now and then if i am not even laboring yet, and she just simply answered that its because my due is almost near, she wants to see if there is a "progress" in me.

if i wont give birth until weekend, then i have to do another ultrasound and see her again on monday....

Goodness, in France they give up to 42 before they check and my due date is at 41+3, I know someone who went 44 weeks before being induced.

I'm pregnant with my first too, but I still say don't worry! You could have three more weeks yet and as long as you are reasonably comfortable, enjoy it as much as you can before life changes forever.

thanks.. that's what i am going to do - enjoy and relax!!! i wont think of anything anymore. i still have time and i dont have to fret... xx
