Sore swollen legs and pain in chest

Over the last week the bottom of my legs and feet have got fatter and fatter and fatter and are now like stumps. My legs are really painful and if my daughter knocks them agonising. I am also getting massive cramps in my calfs on the night. The last 3 nights when i have been laid down for more than an hour if i breath in deep i get a really bad pain in my lungs and chest. Was just wondering if these things were normal?

No, it's not normal to have such painfully swollen legs. This can be a sign of pre-eclampsia which can quickly progress to a life threatening condition.

Sorry to be blunt, but you need to phone your midwife team now.

Good luck.

This needs checking out (don't know what it could be but it sounds kind of extreme). I think you should speak to your midwife tomorrow.

I think you need to pop to A&E and get checked out with this, it could be pre-eclampsia or it could be something else, it's important that you get this looked at right away. Sorry to worry you, you do need to be checked over. I hope all is well.

This could be serious,i would not go through another night withoout getting it checked out,the swollen legs are classicx high blood pressure and you can get chest pain as well. Please get chhecked out asap

Get it checked out now! Seriously!

And let us know how you get on please...

I had pre-eclampsia with my dd and have been checking my own blood pressure which hasent gone up the last couple of days so unsure if it is that. I will definitly ring midwife tomorrow
