Just had my nuchal scan (12w + 3 days)at the Fetal Medicine Centre in London and my husband asked the sonographer if he could tell the gender. He said that you could tell by the angle of the it that sticks out in the genital area, and he reckoned with 70 - 80% certainty that it was a girl (though he also made it clear that that meant there was a 20 - 30% chance it was a boy, so don't decorate the nursery). Prof Nicolaides had a look and ......don't want to get my hopes up as I would be delighted with a girl after 2 boys, so just wanted to find out other people's experiences (to keep myself in check, and to ensure I don't daydream about pink clothes....)With my last baby, the sonographer at the FMC said it was a boy (she was very certain) and she was right, but I've heard it's easier to tell if its a boy than a girl.......
