boy or girl?

Hello i have only 6 weeks to go and didnt find out at scan what we were expecting and its slowly driving me insane.....!!

Anyone else in the same boat? Does anyone believe the old wives tales etc or have any they are sure are true?

Do you think you can tell "just tel" what your expecting? I was sure i was expecting a boy but last few days think it may have been a girl??

How accurate it the heartbeat in relation to gender, ie under 140bpm is a boy etc!

Honestly? None of those old wives tales have applied to me, I'm afraid!

With my first pregnancy I was convinced it was a boy, because there are only boys in DH's family. But no- a little girl.

This pregnancy has been totally different from the first. Different cravings, less heartburn, I am much fitter, my bump was (for a while anyway) quite neat and my face hasn't swollen up. And I had all day nausea in the beginning. So, I though, it must be a boy. Heart rate has been consistently on the slower side of average. I had scans at 21 and 28 weeks and both confirmed it is another girl.

Oh, and none of those chinese predictors has been right on both counts!

Anyway, chin up! Not long to go and you will find out for sure!

anything other than seeing their bits on the scan is pretty inaccurate

Thats what i thought, hudreds of people keep saying it low its a boy, its all out front its a girl! blah blah blah!! Everyone has an opion based on an old wives tal or something! But i kow i wont know for sure till ive actually given birth!

so i willhave to be a bit more patient, just sat here with an afternoon off and your mind starts to wonder doesnt it!

Hi Wishing. Everything I've read would say I'm having a boy but scan says girl. Won't be long now. Lovely to see you back on MN.

I was convinced we were having a girl but know its a boy and i am over the moon. I am very impatient and the thoght of waiting wuold have driven me insane. I was all up for a gender scan if the sonographer at my 20 weeks couldn't see. But luckily enough we got to see!!

I did the chinese predictor as a giggle and it said i was having a boy but i dont believe in any of it.

i had my dd 6 weeks ago nearly and she wouldnt show us what she was on two scans we had but i knew she was a girl...so certain that it took me 10 mins to check after she was born!

i always knew she was a girl and i was right..

also my ds who is 3 and a half years old...i always knew he was a boy too, so when they said boy at my 20 week scan i wasnt surprised at all....

weird how i have been right both times!

It's all hokey. Nothing will tell you what you're having apart from a scan. And even they're wrong sometimes.

And it's easy to say well I guessed right, how bizarre, I must have known. Well with 50/50 as your chances, it's a brilliant bet.
