Does anyone know where and when you can get hold of one of these car seat bases, they come up on the maxi cosi website if you google but dont appear on their website if you go to it directly, and I can't find a stockist who sells them, whats going on? They are a genious idea as they fit group 0+ and Group 1 seats.

Might not be available yet but shop I asked a while back said they were coming Oct. Do you know what seats they are going to fit? I have a Cabrio Fix and always wished I'd got isofix for it. Looking at the Maxi Cosi Axiss for the next size up.

probably the cabrio fix as I think I am going to get the bugaboo travel system and this seems to be what they come with. the one for the next stage is called the pearl according to the website.

I asked in Mothercare last weekend as it is in their catalogue but not on the website - apparently they have delayed the release until January . i'm really disappointed as it seemed to be the perfect solution for me.

I spoke to John Lewis today and apparently they are on sale throughout europe just not in the UK because we have different fire regulations and they wont launch the base without the new seats that go with it. JL have been told Jan/Feb. I am keeping my fingers crossed will get one in time for due date of 2.3.10!

I was told in Mothercare last week that they will be available in a week or two. Does anyone know where I could see a review of this for safety? Which and Mumsnet seem to recommend the cabrio-fix. I would go for familyfix, but would like to see reviews or tests first. Thanks.

We got one in mothercare yesterday. The guy said the cabriofix had got 5 in safety testing and that the pebble (when used with the familyfix) had got 5plus. We've got the cabriofix with ours and you can still recline it/sit it up as the child grows.
