Woke up with a start about 2 hours after dropping off to sleep last night, felt very hot, like a cold sweat, came down to do temp but was fine.
Felt sick, had burning sensation in chest, and almost felt like I needed to get out of my own skin.
Was very panicky (sp?) and had to breathe slowly to calm self down, then I eventually fell asleep sitting up which is how I was when I woke up this morning.

Any ideas? Maybe heartburn?? Have never had this before so no idea

Could be heartburn, mine used to feel like burning.

How is it now? How many weeks are you?

mosschops30 · 13/10/2009 12:02

Oh its been fine since I woke up again this morning (in unattractive slumped position)

Just seems odd that I was fine going off to sleep then woke feeling like I was going to die, it was quite scary

Very scary!

It does sound like heartburn & mine certainly made me feel sick at times.

How is your BP? Recent urine sample clear?

There is something called Epigastric Pain, which can be a sign of Pre Elcampsia, but that doesn't normally ease up.

mosschops30 · 13/10/2009 12:36

didnt seem like epigastric pain. Last BP and urine were fine although thats 2 weeks ago. Seeing MW on friday

Were you sleeping on your back? I woke with a start on saturday night feeling like I was about to pass out, I was sleeping on my back and assumed that I had too much pressure on the vena cava. Felt really horrible for a while.

Hope you are o.k

Could be heartburn, my dad gets this he's obviously not pg but has acid reflux, he was convinced he was going to have a heart attack or a nervous breakdown as he used to wake up feeling so wierd & panicky.

Tillyscoutsmum · 13/10/2009 13:03

I've been getting something similar (am 31 weeks) - almost like panic attacks. Cold sweats, hyperventilating - all very scary. I've been told its another "common" pg symptom (basically because your lungs are squished up so breathing is a bit harder than normal and once you start to struggle to breathe, you panic and it gets worse)

be really careful! i had this and had a blood clot! worth getting checked out!! nver be too careful esp if it happens again!

mosschops30 · 13/10/2009 16:22

actually I was on my back when I woke up so that maybe right.
I have suffered with acid reflux but its normally as soon as I go to bed, it doesnt normally wake me up.

sunnyhsine what other symptoms did you have? I think its unlikely to be a blood clot from this symptom alone
