Contractions? Braxton Hicks? Ring your midwife/hospital.

pupuce · 10/06/2005 20:06

hmmm...... it's probably nothing, keep monitoring your situation and if it comes back call the labour ward.
If your baby is breech are you planning a section or is this not yoyr 1st child?

mogwai · 10/06/2005 20:07

I had some braxton hicks like these at 34 weeks. I had four in the period of one hour while we were in the car, very painful.

I had one episode last week as well (37 weeks at the time).

I get more contractions if I'm walking about, could be these

pandagirl03 · 10/06/2005 20:13

this is my first baby so not sure really what to expect. i have to go for a scan and see the consultant next week to see about a section.

Is anything being done to try to turn this baby?

baby has been moving since, pains have all gone now.

im not sure on turning thats why i need a scan next week to check if they can turn it. hoping they can but they weren't hopefully last week at scan because of position.

hello, not sure if 37 wks is too late to try this but ive had 4 babies and now preggers with 5th. ive been able to turn all 4 babies at 30-33 wks just by getting down on the floor on all 4rs, knees and hands, works a treat every time, i could feel the baby move too! hth

pandagirl03 · 10/06/2005 21:43

hello trucker

i have tried that but it didn't work 4 me

sorry hun, but if i hear of any ideas i'll let you know

truckerkaz · 11/06/2005 09:06

hi, i've just remembered something about that exercise i mentioned. when on all 4rs i made sure that my tummy was higher than my shoulders and moved gently around and rocked back and for a bit. did you try that?

pandagirl03 · 11/06/2005 09:41

i have given something like that a go on all fours bum slightly higher rocking backwards and forwards gently, same thing i suppose.

Accupuncture is very good for turning but you need to do this ASAP!
Also Pulsatilla 200 is the homeopatic remedy for turning baby taken 3 times:
morning, evening and morning

Newbarnsleygirl · 11/06/2005 13:36

Bag of frozen peas works apparently as the baby can feel some of the cold so therefore moves out of the way.
