Has anyone had this when they have given birth. I was just wondering what the cause of it was. I know it can be infection but has anyone had that infection diagnosed???

There's someone on here who's placenta came flying out and hit the midwife in the face - does that count as offensive?

Sorry it just sounds a funny condition! I've never heard of it before.. sure Mears will be along shortly or someone who's experienced it!

Offensive usually means that there is a suspicion of infection because of the aroma. However, can smell without being infected IYSWIM? I would take swabs of placenta if I wthought it was offensive to make sure there was no infection.
