I've tried hot food (curry and chilli)
Anyone got anything they know may work? Or are they all just old wives tales?

winge a lot, especially on MN
in my case labour started slowly and a sweep got things moving - DD was born 2 hours ish later!
Book something that you really don't want to cancel for tomorrow or Friday.
Don't think anything actually works, apart from induction, sorry I remember this well - this was me 3 weeks ago

Lots of long walks.
Nipple stimulation.
Acupuncture/reflexology.

Or in my case, rage! I got really really angry with the hospital for not having a bed, so they couldn't induce me when they had said they needed to.

Reflexology!! I went in at 40+1 for reflexology specifically for inducing labour. As I walked out of the door I started getting contractions 10mins apart!
