I am 24 weeks and have nasty pain on lower right side. I wuold say its exactly where my appendix is, except I dont have an appendix.

It feels like the baby is lying on something (?), hurts like hell but comes and goes. Not crampy and doesnt really feel muscular either I donjt think.

Should I call mid-wife? Should I be worried? What can I do to make it ease up abit?

I would suggest it is either ligaments stretching or baby lying on a nerve. But, if you are worried about baby's movements, have any loss from down below, have any medical conditions, history or miscarriage, prem labour etc etc I would make a visit to your antenatal day care unit (ring them first & take your notes). If you decide to wait it out, paracetamol for the pain.
