Advice please

Hi, I am 38+6. Sorry for TMI. Last night I had some small what felt like a tiny amount of water on pads twice before bedtime then at 4am had a bloody (period) pad and braxton hicks/period pains. Blood has stopped now. Up every half hour in pain and needing to poo.
Now getting period pains every 10-20 mins but really odd timings. Could someone please advise whether this could be it? Whether this is the real deal or what I should do? Don't want to go to hospital and be sent home.

Many thanks differentnameforthis. Thought I would say that I was in fact in labour and possibly around 5 cm dilated at this moment!!!

I was convinced I was having a false labour when in fact I was so out of it that I managed to post this in Pregnancy not Childbirth - oh dear!!!
