Feeling a little weird... anyone else get this?

I'm currently just over 24 weeks, with number 3 and am feeling a little weird.

The baby is kicking well, and also moving, and it's when it's moving i feel weird - my tummy feels hard, and i'm getting a breathless feeling at the back of my throat and am feeling a little dizzy, which passes when baby stops moving.

Anyone else had this?

braxton hicks?

how are your blood pressure and iron levels?

are you eating and drinking ok ...

Whenever i've had my BP taken, it's always been low, so dunno if it could be that. And i'm eating and drinking fine, no probs there.

Wondering if i should give my midwife a ring, but don't really want to bother her...

dizziness could be an indication of low BP

i have low ish BP and i do get occasional spells of dizziness

always better to ring the MW than not - you will only worry otherwise

am sure all is well - BH can be quite strong

Hi there - yes I had that with my 2nd one too. Mad as it sounds I would go and see a cranial osteopath. With me, everytime I had a braxton hicks contraction or the baby moved, because my sacrum and pelvis were too tight, it pulled on the base of my skull and gave me a very tight throat/sinus dragging and pulling sensation. It wasn't very nice but once I got loosened up and things could move more easily again, it lessened considerably.

Rang the midwife and she thinks i could be dehydrated. Am to drink lots, which i am doing anyway.

My bump is hurting though, and i've backache. Gah.

Sounds like braxton hicks and low bp to me... could have written your post and still experiencing both at 32 weeks, and it's getting worse!
Tiredness and dehydration trigger. Have a nice drink of something refreshing, a bath and an early night. That's what I'll be doing too!

Are your iron levels OK? Anaemia could make you breathless and dizzy.

you know the drill D, if you have any thing that concerns you more - ring the hospital

Its a good sign the baby is moving well - and that it passes.

Could the pain be because of baby position? Or it being your 3rd (excuse me if this sounds rude) your tummy muscles have been very stretched and are not coping well?

Dee, stress could also be a factor here. Are you ok? (bearing in mind the sad news that is)

it does sound like BH a bit, and I found that if the DD's were lying in a certain position I got very breathless. I used ot go on all fours over a beanbag to shift them and that helped. (doesn't do much for the rear view though...)

I felt very similar with low blood pressure, but you have a huge amount of stress and emotion to deal with right now.

I'm ok ish... baby's been a bit quiet yesterday and today - have felt movement and kicks, just not so much. Wasn't so good last night - had a few bad cramps and got really dizzy again, but went to bed and seemed to sleep it off.

Am seeing my midwife on tuesday, but will mention it to her then.

Morning Dee, glad you are feeling a bit better. If you are worried still then the midwife won't mind speaking to you or checking you over though.
Are you able to get some rest? Can you get DP take the DC's to the park or something? It's supposed to bucket down today so a bit of puddle jumping might wear them out.
