clearblue digital says pregnant 1-2, could it be wrong? scared of getting my hopes up

hi

i havent had a period since july and ive been testing every week or so and today is the first time that ive had a positive test.it's come up as pregnant 1-2 weeks making me 3-4 weeks pregnant. as i havent had periods ive no idea if this is right

could it be worng for some reason and im not pregnant? would it have implanted by now? i know the tests work early but not that early surely?

any help/advice appreciated. im so nervous but so excited at the same time.no sickness or anything else, just bloated belly but ive had that all the time. think the belly ache is just nerves as it only came on after i did the test.

going to do another test first thing in the morning to check the hormone levels for how many weeks i am, apparently its more accurate with a morning sample?

thank you.im trying not to get my hope up incase i come on in the next week or so and im only 3 weeks at the moment but i dont think it shows that early?

no idea how the doctor will work out how far i am, they cant go by my last period!

hopefully they will get me a scan so i can be sure too.

i just feel silly thinking i am if it turns out im not or it hasnt implated or something

Agree with Eyeballls-Congrats! Very rarely can you get a false positive, false negatives are more common.

I think congrats are in order too, I think it's very rare to get a false positive especially with CB digi

getting excited but nervous. our boys are 7 and 8 so it will be like starting all over again.no idea how we will sope in a two bedroom house with three children but i am sure we will. its only now its happening that im worrying.

better buy some ginger and plain biscuits for when the morning sickness starts

i only managed 4 hours in between toilet trips during the night but the second test still shows pregnant 1-2 so im assuming im 4 weeks pregnant. i hate not being able to use a last period date to calculate it as its so hard, at least ive got some idea with the conception indicator test.

ive hardly slept all night.im so nervous and knowing so early means theres even longer until the supposed safer period after 12 weeks.

we didnt expect it to happen so quick, especially with me not having periods for the last couple of months.

ive got an appointment coming up to go over the birth notes of our last child at the hospital and discuss options for a future pregnancy so once ive got the date through id better let them know that im now pregnant.fingers crossed it will all go well and they will agree or recommend a cesarean(ds was stuck at an unplanned homebirth, not breathing and luckily the midwife turned up and had to manually turn him to get him out as his shoulders were stuck.)

im rambling on now, i dont know how im going to make it through the next few weeks before we want to tell people im pregnant.we are seeing my mum and dad tonight and tomorrow so it will be hard not saying anything.id rather wait until im a little bit further though as i know they will be worried for me after last time

A piece of good advice i was given was if you find it hard not tell people then only tell people who you can rely on to understand if you lose it. So telling your parents should be ok so if the worst comes to the worst they can help you through it.

I only came off the pill beginning of August and conceived right away. Didn't even get a period. So had absolutely no idea when I ovulated. Did clearblue and it said 1-2 but then the next day it went straight up to 3-4. It wasn't until I had an early scan to determine that I'm now 7+1 weeks. So you can definitely be sure it's positive but the gestation is slightly less reliable. Congrats

Im in the same position now, i came off the pill 3 weeks ago and havent yet had a period. trying to hang on a bit longer to do a test tho as dont want a false result.

Had all sorts of problems with pregnancy of DS1, so full of worry too.

congrats - dont fill your head with worry! just get to your Gp and they will tell you or asked for a early scan i did after an ep in 2006 i was over joyed when i was! i still have my clear blue digital that gave me the good news even though the batts gone! i wasnt even expecting it to say positive due to me losing my mum just before i was over by 2 weeks but due to stress wasnt worried a very pleasent shock to me and my DH and a litle gift from my recently gone mum!
im now 23 weeks!

thankyou for your responses.its hard to sink in.i still keep thinking its wrong and im not pregnant and am going to look silly! going to doctors tonight if i can get an appointment.going to stress to them that i dont know how far i am and hope they do a scan soon to make sure.

my digital test battery has gone so ive got nothing to say im pregnant now so i feel a bit deflated.i did a cheaper teat i had and its a very faint line, not sure if its a positive or evaporation line.going to buy some more digital ones and keep testing every few days/weekly to make sure the conception time increases.

i told my parents last night, dp was shocked as i said we should wait. i hated being in the room with them chatting and them not knowing.i know they will be there for us 100% if things go wrong as i miscarried before i had my two children and they were there for me then.

now ive told them im feeling shocked and excited.i dont think anyone believes its really hapening until they have a scan though.roll on the 12 week mark when i can start to relax a bit.im already having pulling crampy pains in my pelvic region, im trying not to panic though as i know it can just be things stretching and to be honest my pelvic floor muscles are crap at the best of times! putting a happy face on

ive done another test tonight and its now pregant 2-3 so im assuming im now just over the 4 week mark to go from 1-2 a couple of days ago.feeling a bit more positive now i know the hormone levels are increasing.

will keep spending a fortune on more tests until its showing 3+ so im know im then 5 weeks plus.

cant get to the doctors till friday, was all planned to go today but they shut at lunch for a training thing or something. typical isnt it!

im fat and bloaty and look huge, no idea how im going to hide it for long.im having problems with my work shirts already.

still nervous as anything but getting more excited every test i take.

havent looked at the june antenatal club yet, i will have to have a look
