Birthing Stools

Any idea where I could rent a birthing stool from? You know, that kind of medieval contraption - a stool with a hole in the middle. I just have this feeling that I'd like to try it during birth but can't find a rental place anywhere.

Have you checked if your local hospital has one? Mine did and I used it at one point. Even if you're planning a home birth they might let you use it.

...or you could get a camping toilet and adapt it somehow....

I've found 'samanthajaynebirthingpools' who rent them but they're £125 to rent and that's just silly....
