Leaky boobs

Expecting my first, currently 20 weeks gone and to my horror, I've just realised that my boobs, especially the left one leaks!! Kept on wondering how come I always manage to spill something on my top when it finally dawned onto me. Why on earth does this happen??

There really is no grace in pregnancy... guess I have to go and buy breast pads unless I want to have embarrassing meetings at work... presumably there is no other cure?

It happens to a lot of us, breast pads are the way forward, try and get ones that stick as the ones that don't seem to move and can lead to unfortunate surprises (and tbh I find they itch).

At first I was mortified, but you get used to it after a while.

If I'm wearing light coloured tops, breast pads are a must here too (now 29 weeks and have been leaking since 24 weeks).

The Johnson and Johnson ones itch much less than the Boots own, but shop around as the difference in price between shops is unbelievable .

Thanks. Bought some Tommy Tippee ones that seems to come with a sticker. Stupid question, do you stick on the skin or your bra/top?

Your top, they should be on the outside of the 'cup' shape.

Top tip discovered from lumpy looking bras for the first few days - get them in place first THEN take the backing off the sticky bit .

Just to add to funtimewincies, Sainsburys own are not only HUGE but they itch like mad and move around a lot.

Found the J&J although not super cheap, are the best by far

Can I bloe you all out of the water and suggest you buy a pair of Lily Padz -amazing reuseable things without any lumps or leaks.

I've not heard of those. I bought some resusable ones from NCT when I had ds but they were so thick it looked like I had jelly moulds down my bra and could only wear them under very loose tops. They were great for night-time though.
