12 week scan at 8 weeks??

Just had my "12" week scan date through, it's next Friday which makes me actually 8 weeks.

My other 2 were done at the 11-13 week mark, why is this one so early?

I would phone, but I don't want them to say it was IS mistake and to go back in October when I should be having it.

i would keep quiet, they might ask you to come 4 weeks later and you get too see your lo twice i thought they could only date you between 10 and 13 weeks? surely a mistake?

If you are having the nuchal scan then you will be way too early to have that done so you will be scanned again

i think you should tell them TBH and get the right dating scan sorted

I would tell them. I have heard of people being scanned early (eg for bleeding), and then just getting a date from the earlier scan, and then missing out on the better view of the baby at the 12 week scan.

OK I've just rang, they said to leave it as it is. My Mum works for the NHS and gave me a lecture about overstretched departments, so I was guilted into ringing them.

It was the nuchal scan I was thinking of, I thought they did it between 11 and 13 weeks, so couldn't understand why they wanted me early, especially as I'm 99% sure of my dates.
