ok im 38+6 and am booked in for induction on 8th (GD) and have been banging on for weeks on childbirth topic that i wanted a natural birth cos was induced with dc1 and today getting tightenings pretty much constantly feel just crappy in general and needing to empty bowels alot. Think im having a sweep tomorrow anyway when i see my consultant but do u reckon this is the start?

Have had a couple of false starts though so not getting my hopes up!

Could be, could be! Good luck. Sweep worked for me at 31 weeks.

Am a bit surprised that your induction is booked for the 8th as that is not quite 40 weeks is it? If I had not gone into spontaneous labour my induction was booked for 41+3, I think you can get them to agree to wait until 42 weeks to induce in most hospitals if you are otherwise healthy etc.

im being induced cos i have GD will be 39+5 when they induce me, hopefully it wont come to that though!
