Calculating weight gain

Hi all,

If you lose a bit of weight through morning sickness in your first trimester, what do you base your weight gain on? Your starting weight at conception or the lowest you got down to in those early weeks?

I'm pretty much back to the same weight now (at 17 weeks) as I was at conception, but I did lose about 4lbs over the course of the first trimester with MS. So is my weight gain 4lbs so far, or zero?

Thanks for any advice!

Your midwife will probably calculate weight gain from your pre-conception weight, so technically you haven't gained anything, but don't worry, you will! good luck.x
