Light, easy tandem buggies- I don't know where to put this but need advice.

In February, I will have a 21 month old DS, and a newborn. I'll need to get a tandem buggy, and I have been searching around for one.

My criteria is:

1. Must be light, easy to lift, get in car etc.
2. Must be easy to get up curbs.
3. Must have swirly wheels that you can also put on straight.
4. Must have a reclining seat for DS and a seat suitable from birth for baby.
5. Must not be too 'bulky' and big as our house is small.
6. Must be fairly cheap.

Can anyone give me any advice? I have seen the cosatto lite but reviews say it's difficult to get up curbs.

Hi. I just bought a graco one on Sunday for my SIL to use when she childminds my DD. It doesn't meet all your criteria but was only £150, and also meets numbers 2,3,&4. It just fit in a Focus boot so may be too big but is quite narrow so not too bulky. It's a start anyway and bumps your thread. Good luck.

2, 3 and 4 are the most important ones so that's good. Do you know which graco it is?

Graco stadium duo autumn according to the receipt. SIL has it already and has nothing but good things to say about it. She had a basic Mothercare one before and says this is better. TBH I don't think many tandems are boot friendly but the Maclaren side by sides are. HTH

Sounds good, I like the look of it too. With the side by sides, is it a nightmare to go into town or anything? I worry about getting into shop doorways or queing up in asda?

My brother had a Maclaren. His kids are two years apart and he liked it. I'd advise you to go to a big Mothercare or pram centre and ask to try your DS in a few. You wouldn't buy a car without trying it after all. Good luck. I'm off to bed now.
