backache an early preg symptom?

Here we go... another am I pregnant thread.

Feeling very funny today. My period is late, but that's nothing unusual. But I've had terrible backache for the last three days (despite having an orthopeadic bed. In fact this may have caused it). Also just generally a bit, well, funny.

Is backache an early symptom of preg? Part of me hopes not as I'm only half-way through "The Easy way to stop smoking". Better get a shift on with it.

Also any cures for backache?

Although people generally think of backache occurring in later pregnancy, it can actually occur very early as it is not only caused by carrying extra weight round but can also be caused by softening of ligaments due to hormone levels
