Am I having contractions?? Dear god I hope not!

Am 27 wks pg with no.3. IMHO its been a hard pregnancy, bump is huge, and Im uncomfortable.

Worked yesterday and today, and have had some Braxton Hicks which I know is fairly normal, people commenting on how big bump is etc and think its looking even bigger this week
Since this afternoon, have had terrible pains which start round the back, radiate round the front, then stop in my groin with the most terrible achy pain. I seem to have a couple, a few minutes apart then nothing for maybe 20 minutes then they start again.

Anyone know what this could be? Should I phone MLU? No other signs of labour, no show or waters or anything

I would give them a call just to be on the safe side. Hopefully it's just some kind of mega BH and it will all be fine.

Give them a call, they do sound like contractions to be honest, they should check you over.

I dont want to be checked, Ive spent the whole of this pregnancy whinging about everything, Ive probably got a chair down there with my name on it!
And I dont want to be in labour just yet, despite regularly moaning 'why cant I have it now' and 'im fed up of lugging you round'

You probably have a UTI, I've had a few this pregnancy and each time they have given me contraction like pains.

even posted on here at about 20 weeks preg cos thought I was losing my baby.

thanks for checking in . I went down to the maternity assessment unit, waited an age and then hooked up to a monitor.
Baby is fine, I was having mild contractions and they showed on the monitoring but nothing 'significant' and doc checked my cervix which is well and truly closed so its all good.

Oh good, glad you got it checked and all is okay. Hope you are taking it easy (as is possible)
