Hi
wonder if anyone who's been through this before maybe able to sort out the muddle I'm.
I understand I can take maternity leave 11 weeks before due date (4 Dec).
However the weeks are calculated presuming Sunday starts the week.
So do I commence leave 18th Sept (exactly 11 weeks before due date)
0r 12th Sept (the Sunday before)
Or 21st Sept (the Sunday after).

Any help appreciated

You can start it from 11 weeks before the beginning of the week the baby is due. So 11 weeks before the Sunday before the baby is due, which I guess is 12th September?

'the beginning of the 11th week before the expected week of birth'

the week of birth begins Sunday 29th Nov

so the first week you can take of is week beginning Sunday 13th Sept

Why is that vexing legscrossed? That's the earliest of the dates you thought it might be, is that not good?

That is totally cool,
but I found It confusing as my due date is a Fri so effectively I get practically a whole extra week off, feels cheeky.
I didnt want to get things wrong and not be fully informed come the confrontation with boss
