37 + 5 with stich like pain on one side

For the past hour i've had a constant stitch like pain around my bump and lower back with a fierce twinge on my left side. I can't even stand up straight as it hurts so much. Any idea if this could be the start of labour?
This is my first so not sure of the signs but haven't had a show or waters breaking and I thought labour pains come and go rather than being constant.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!

is the baby still moving ?

I have felt a few kicks but not much more but then tbh i normally only feel it moving properly at night when i get into bed.

think I would be inclined to phone mlu for advice. The lower back pain sounds about right but if you cant stand up then I would check with them to be on the safe side.

i've had this a lot over the past week or two (am 33+4 now). it feels like a stitch, and is immensely acidic pain until it suddenly goes away. I'm planning to ask the midwife about it next week, as it's rather worrying - but if you do find out what the cause is, please do report back here!!
