How early can heartburn set in??

I will admit I am madly symptom spotting but wanted to check how early heart burn can be a symptom of pregnancy.

I have Had terrible heartburn all day and been off my food because of it.

Think I have at least a week and a half before I can test so am I just going mad!!

God I had that within moments of conceiving DC3. Almost literally. Certainly within about 10 days I think. And nausea.

Heartburn was my very first symptom too, like slyandgobbo, within 14 days iirc.

I got it within days of conceiving, and I got horrible wind too. These are my earliest signs so I knew I was pregnant before I tested. Good luck zippys.

Just about from the very start. It was a few days of horrible heartburn for me before I raised an eyebrow and thought 'wait a minute...' and took a test!

this time round (second pregnancy) almost immediately - shortly followed by horrific sickness I'm afraid to say... am still glugging gaviscon with abandon at 15 weeks. First pg it was about 27 weeks.

Thanks for all your replies, I thought it may be too early but it appears not. Now just need to wait till I can test. (got a bit obsessive last months with poas )

5 weeks pg with dc2! Im 14 weeks now and its gone a bit.

BTW with this one I 'knew' the after we conceived that I was pg. I was off diet coke, had a funny taste in my mouth and put the milk in the microwave! I posted on here to check I wasnt going mad! 3 weeks later I have a BFP.

virtually right away- had it for aabout2 weeks, then it disappeared (though did return later, unfortunately). didn't realise at the time that it was a pregnancy symptom.

Wow!!! I found this question and the replies so useful. I've been TTC for a good few months now with no luck (this is the first, so all new to me!). I've been experiencing heartburn which has now lasted over a couple of days - and I don't usually get it. I'm now wondering the exact same thing, am I or am I not??? Trying not to get too excited, haven't really got any other symptoms but the heartburn is fairly severe and constant!!....and still have a week and a bit before I can test :-( I too have been madly symptom spotting and this is proving an anxious time now with this heartburn!!! zippys, have you tested yet?

Oh God, within a week of conception, with horrific belching... and had it terribly - and painfully - for the next 8 months until an hour or so after birth!

I will say thought that since ttc again, i have noticed that i start to get it and other digestive problems in the 2ww. I am assuming it is hormonally linked. Always eases off when AF comes, and I have been conned into thinking i was preg because of it!

Had a pregnancy that ended in M/C earlier this year - didnt get it then, but had no other symptoms at all for 9 weeks.

That said, when i was pregnant it was completely unbearable even in the 2ww. Bizarre.

I have tested but BFN for me this month! I really need to stop symptom spotting as much

Just waiting to ovulate again this month, but have a stupidily long cycle so seems to take forever.

Hang in there and good luck for the next round. I couldn't wait and stupidly did a test yesterday (still a whole week and a bit before I should have!!). It was negative obviously, and definitely too early...so I'll just see how I progress and whether a test is needed next week or not!

It is so addictive I have already spent a fortune on tests and have only been trying for 3 months!

you just think you may just be one of the lucky one that show results really early!

I'm now 15wk with 2nd and have had heartburn on and off for about 6weeks. No nausea though, thankfully. I only had about 5 instances of mild heartburn with DD at the end of that pregnancy. It's struck me how different it is this time around!!

I've been getting heartburn today and been getting a lot of cramps and back arch last week but not due on for another 6 days so I'm going to do a test in morning but just wanting to know if anyone has got anything like this and then got a BFP or if it's just my head messing with me. My first month of trying and never looked more forward to my period day and hopefully I won't come on, please can someone let me know xx

I'm about 10 weeks now and pregnant with my 4th and my heartburn started last night. I don't think with my other 3 it started this early. What with feeling sick all day everyday as soon as I get up and now the heartburn. I can't wait for the sickness to stop so roll on 13 weeks

I've been trying to conceive for a year! Conceived my 1st two very quickly! But not so lucky this time round? 😕 BUT OMG! I ovulated about 4 days ago,& now I'm sat here with terrible indigestion! Eeeek!😬

I think around the 13wk mark I started to suffer really bad right up until baby was born, could barely eat and hold anything down such a horrible feeling, I chewed throb packets upon packets of Rennies as they were the only thing that worked and helped.!

Hi everyone!

My first post on here. In 27, I've been with my partner for 4 years. We had sex about 9 days ago, I use a period tracker that said I was ovulating on the day. Ever since I've had really bad heartburn and lower back pain. This could be PMS but I feel different?

But! My partner really struggles to ejaculate during sex and it didn't happen on this occasion. I know I can only really wait to see if I miss my period but is it even at all possible? And did anyone notice signs of pregnancy within the first week or so?

I really need some help and advice, this is my first time trying for a baby so I’m not sure what to look out for. It’s been about a week since we’ve properly started and the last 3 days I’ve been feeling really sick and I’ve not got awful heartburn as well as feeling tired. I don’t know if I’m over thinking it or I can actually get these symptoms this quickly. When is the soonest I can test?
