MORE PLUG???

argh, thought I lost my plug yesterday... but got an equally sized 'lump' of it fall out today... How much of the stuff is there?????

I kept havin loads of it fall out, and wondered the same thing...

Lol - no, that was with my DD (2 tomorrow).

When are you due? I can't remember exactly when mine fell out, but I know it wasn't long before things finally started (I was 44 weeks, so a tad impatient by then)

OMG! 44 weeks? Why did they let u go that far over?

I am due on Thursday, but doc did an internal on friday, which I think has kicked things off...

So, now I just sit and wait for contractions? Or maybe walk and wait....

Anyone know how long from plug loss to labour?

They refused to believe that I knew when I concieved, they scans said I was 40 weeks... but she came out looking like a very overdue baby, and every midwife who didn't know my dates said that she was a minimum of 3 weeks late.

Very anti scans now!!!

She had very stumpy legs though, which people tell me a big part of the dating is taken from.

I was told to try pineapple, and milk of magnesia to try and set things off... took that at 10pm, and contractions started 3am... but being that overdue, they were probably gonna happen anyway

Dabhip it can be at least 2 weeks from show/plug to birth. It is not an exact sciene cy all means and you can loose a lot of plus as well.
I just did a birth on Thursday and she lost her plug on Monday, some was still coming out in labour.
I know -personally - 2 women who went past 43 weeks (one went to 43w + 6), their choice. Both had good and easy labour. There would be far more women who would go to 43 weeks if they wanted to. It has to be an informed choice though.
If you go to www.birthlove.com they have a "ten months mama" page with several stories.
I doubt very much you will got to 42 weeks !

I had a lot come out as well over the day and night before I went into labour. I thought it would be one small bit but it was masses!
